Kasandy started with one idea: that beautiful products and ethical values aren't opposing forces — they're the same thing.

The story starts with a belief.
Kasandy began as a fair-trade retail store — a place where customers could come to buy handmade products made by artisans from around the world, and leave knowing they'd supported something real.
Over time, that mission evolved. We started making our own products — crafted right here in our Vancouver studio, with less than 5 organic ingredients, by hand. Body oils. Shea butters. Face mists. Cement soy candles. Products that could speak for themselves.
The name Kasandy comes from the founder's family. It's a word that carries history, identity, and pride — and that's exactly what we try to build into every product.
We're based in Burnaby, BC — just outside Vancouver. Locally made. Globally inspired.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Clean & Organic
Every Kasandy product contains under 5 organic ingredients. No chemicals, no fillers, no proprietary blends that hide what's inside. You should be able to read — and recognize — every ingredient on the label. That's our standard. We've never made an exception.
Handmade with Intention
Our products are made in small batches in our Vancouver studio. No factory. No automation. Each product is touched, checked, and packed by hand. This isn't just a romantic detail — it's how we maintain quality and ensure every batch meets the standard.
Locally Global
Our shea butter comes from Ghana, sourced directly from women-led cooperatives who earn fair wages. Our jewelry is made by artisan women in Nairobi's Kibera neighborhood. We believe in the dignity of artisanship — and we pay what that dignity is worth.
Community Impact
Kasandy isn't just a product business. Through the Kasandy Foundation, we support economic access, circular economy initiatives, and workforce development — particularly for Black, Indigenous, and newcomer communities in BC. Buying Kasandy supports all of it.

Shea Butter
Our raw shea is harvested and processed by women-led cooperatives in Ghana using methods passed down for generations. Every jar of The Body Soothe starts here, with fair wages and direct sourcing.
Nairobi, Kenya
Upcycled Brass Jewelry
Our jewelry collection is made by artisan women in Nairobi. Working with upcycled brass, these craftswomen earn fair wages in a city where informal work is often exploitative. Their creativity is the collection.
